I have the Barron's SAT book and I am going to be studying that for the SAT this fall. Unfortunately, in my household it is extremely hard to find quiet time to take practice test everyday. Are there any other study tips/plans where practice tests aren't required everyday???

Would you be able to go to the library?

Not everyday maybe once or twice a week. We stay in a very rural part of town.

I have a couple of suggestions:

You should not really be taking practice tests every day any way. You should be spending a higher proportion of your time doing follow-up analysis. It may not be exciting, but that’s where the improvement comes from. So if you can only find once a week (or even less often) to take timed practice, that’s really OK.

Don’t worry about doing timed practice from Barrons or any other non-college board source. Just treat the Barrons book as a work book – when you are ready for timed practice, use the blue book or other authentic tests. And again, one every couple of weeks is plenty. I’ve said it before: TAKING practice tests does nothing to raise your score. It’s the thorough follow-up that brings improvement.

Thanks because everyone has been stressing that and now that I know it isn’t just the practice itself that helps I’m fine now lol. So follow up assessment is most important.
