better for pre-med: GMU vs. W&M

okay so im in a tug of war between George Mason University and William & Mary. i know that William and Mary is more prestigious but heres the thing. I dont just want a stellar education i want a life. William and mary is amazing in academics and the scenery is stunning but i feel as if the campus is just lacking in things to do when u compare it to George Mason and i also know it's suicide rate through statistics and i take it more as a measure of possible depression. i dont want to go to William and mary, feel like ohmygod im doing well but i have no life. honestly im doing undergraduates and after i gain my associates degree i will work my butt of the first 2 years so i can transfer to UVa to finish my major in Organic Chemistry, but i want my first 2 years to be worth while. so what do you think?

If you want to do well enough in a premed curriculum to get into med school, you may have a lot less free time than you may be anticipating.

Please help which one is better for pre med GMU or W & M

W&M is definitely better for premed. W&M has a medical school acceptance rate of about 82%, and I believe the national average for a university is only like 45%. W&M will really prepare you for the MCATs. It will be a LOT easier to get a higher GPA at GMU, but I’m sure medical schools will know the rigor of W&M.

GMU is a pretty low ranked school. It doesn’t have much going for it other than its computer science program (I think).

Be careful at W&M, as it’s extremely competitive and hard.

W&M was my top choice freshman-junior year but I ultimately decided to go to UVA because I did not like the cutthroat atmosphere of W&M.
