Better for premed - UCSD bioe vs NYU biology

I want to prepare medical school in undergraduate. Which one is better? please help- waiting for good advice..

UCSD, everyone is most likely premed, thats why you get the lack of social life.

it doesn't matter. Grades+MCAT determine med school admissions. Go to the "easier" school.

Bioengineering is hard (trust me!). I'd go with NYU for the GPA if the price is comparable. med school is expensive...

yeah, social life is one of most important factors.. I hate nerdy!!
and if i change questions, what is the best premed program for me that will maximize your chances of getting into med-school??

one more question~! what major is better for premed??
bioengineering or biology - please give me disad/advantage for each ones!
Thanx

Again, it's all gpa+mcat -- the best school for YOU is where you can maximize them. I know of someone who is graduting Cal Poly SLO this year and is off to med school.

If you are a strong writer, consider majoring in english -- med schools do not care, as long as you fulfill the minimum science requirements. It is typically harder to earn A's in engineering classes.

how about internship experience?
