I'm going to online school for a year and a half, and I don't know which teachers I should get the letters of recommendation from. I'm a senior, and I will transfer back to public school in the second semester this February. Since I have never met my teachers in online school face-to-face, will the colleges view them as worthy letters of recommendation? Does it make a difference whether I do teachers from my old school or this school? Also, does the recommendation letter count for more if it's from a math or science teacher?

I don’t know if colleges view an online rec. different from one from a traditional high school. But I should think not, considering that a rec. is supposed to talk about your potential, and an online teacher can talk about that since they grade your work, regardless of if they have you in a classroom.

The college you want to attend should say who they want to give you a recommendation. If they don’t then I would stick with one from a teacher that has taught you an advanced course in something like math or science; and then one from someone else who can attest to your potential.
