Better odds this year with schools that admit a higher percentage of foreign students ?

Q: Do you think that this year students have a better shot at colleges that have historically admitted a high percentage of foreign students (15% and higher) than prior years because of the inability and/or reluctance to travel and stay abroad in the US during Covid? During the Spring we had a significant group of our high schoolers return to Israel, Korea and Europe. They aren’t coming back and them and their friends do not seem to be interested in returning to US universities for Fall 2021.

Schools will still likely target the same international percentage unless the number of applications greatly diminishes.

It may be easier for full pay students. It will be harder for internationals who need significant financial aid.

Some student visas may be hard to get.
