Better than the Jerome Fisher Program M&T at UPenn?

Is there any course in any University in the world which can beat The Jerome and Fisher Program in M&T at UPenn?

Definitely. Jerome Fisher/M&T is pretty specific. First off, it’s incredibly intense and it’s not for everyone. Not everyone likes math, business, and engineering. Also, most M&T’s will go straight to the country’s top jobs in finance. Not everyone has the inclination to take on such a big workload, the sort of personality that can thrive at Wharton, and an interest in skipping grad school.

Most of America’s most promising young intellectuals will still head to HYPSM. I still go to Wharton and enjoy it, but outside of a few JWS classes I’ve taken, it’s an intellectual wasteland.

There was a thread about this: Oxford EEM vs. Penn Jerome Fisher. EEM stands for Engineering, Economics and Management. It’s still primarily an engineering course though.

I personally didn’t like Oxford that much when I visited for an interview but a lot of people would choose Oxford over JF. Oxford certainly beats Penn in terms of international prestige, and the program is a 4-year master’s.

for job prospects right out of college: m&t > hypsm

for absolutely everything else: hypsm>m&t

I generally agree with the consensus above but most M&T and Wharton dual degree grads go to grad school these days, at least within a few years of undergrad. Elon Musk (founder of Paypal and Tesla Motors) was in the Stanford physics PhD program for example. Cliff Asness (AQR Capital) was in the Chicago Finance PhD program. A lot of people get at least an MSE in EE or MechE, which is about 10 classes beyond the BSE.
