Better to transfer out of a CC or 4 year college?

I was wondering which would be more advantageous, to transfer out of a CC or from a 4 year college. CC would be cheaper but has no college life, on the other hand, I'm looking at colleges like University of Kansas that accepts almost everyone... Even if I get into a better college, say Juniata, would it still be more advantageous to transfer out of there?

Btw I'm an international student, and my cumulative GPA is pretty bad, so KU is pretty much my only safety...

It’s difficult to say without having more detail. I think a lot depends on the rigor of courses. Being enrolled, and excelling in, an honors curriculum at a CC may bode better for you than enrolling in the typical curriculum at the average state school.

Also, what program? KU has one of the best, if not THE best, geography programs in the whole world.

etc etc

Gah! I already took geography for the past 4 years and I’m pretty sick of it…

I’m planning to take either russian or try out the sciences and maths departments. What good CCs would you recommend then?
