Would it be better for me to attend a cc or another university for at most one year? I plan on transferring over to Rutgers as soon as possible and I would like to know what the better route is. I will either attend Kean University or Middlesex COunty College and then transfer to Rutgers so what do you guys think will be the better choice? Does it really matter and do you think I can transfer after one semester? What grades will they take in specific? Thanks.

I think it doesn’t matter, but personally I think going with a CC for a year seems better. Going to a CC will be less like the “college experience” but it will help you save money, get a high GPA, and stay with your goal of going to Rutgers because if you attended another University for a year you might actually like it so much you might not want to leave.
I’m from California and generally the public universities here take CC transfers first before university transfers, I don’t know how it is in Jersey, but I am assuming that it might actually be similar.
Transferring in one semester seems kind of a long shot because most schools that allow that often require a look at your high school record, which means in high school you probably could have gotten in. Try maybe after at least one year.
Grades in specific are probably going to be the General Education requirements I’m guessing.
Hope this helped

If you know you want to go to Rutgers, contact them and find out for certain.

If you go to a CC, then you might benefit from an articulation agreement and potentially, guaranteed admission, to Rutgers. You don’t have to worry about transferring credits, but the social life at a CC is crappier. The benefits of a CC outweigh the negatives, IMO.
