Now that I've heard back from most schools, and everything I've worked for is falling into place...

I don't want it.

I don't want "college life" or even new friends (honestly), and while I've said for years that I just can't waiiitt to be out of the house, I want nothing more than to stay in it now.

I just feel so weird. Its like a switch flipped in my mind, and I can't go back. I wonder if what I wanted was the stress and activity in my life more than I wanted the final results.

I feel so confused. Does anyone else feel really stressed now that their senior year is winding down? I feel so pressured to make all of these decisions and... I just don't know what to do. I almost wish I had never done any of this and just gone the JC route... Maybe I still will... Aughhh.

If it makes you feel better, I've encountered something similar, but it is to a lesser degree. Sometimes I worry about finances, fitting in, etc. Just chill out and realize that the only reason these thoughts are coming up is that you are nervous about trying something new. It may not even have anything to do with the specific college, just the fact that you are leaving the house for the first time within the next 6 months.

Nerves are normal. Just breathe easy, talk to you parents or friends, and just chill out. As a senior, you owe it to yourself to have a little bit of fun at least for your last year of high school.

Not at all.

I understand what you're saying...But me? I cannot wait for the year to end and to head off to college! I've wanted out of high school since the first day of 9th grade...And now that it's almost over, I couldn't be happier!

It is called growing up

getting out of your comfor zone and living a new experience

Go for it, it's your time!

Stepping out of your comfort zone is HARD. I'm very close to my family, so while I'm excited to go to college, I'm also nervous about missing them. Just keep in mind that they're always there for you no matter where you are. And thanks to all the great technology of the 21st century, you can video chat, call, text, etc. whenever you want!

I'm mostly worried about finances. I've pretty much come to terms with the fact that the clothes I own now are the same clothes I'll own when I graduate from college.

Honestly, I am really looking forward to college. Until this year, I've never really been bored, but I have recently felt an overwhelming desire to meet new people and live in a new environment. I can not wait.

i know what you mean. i still can't wrap my mind around the fact that it's almost over. i guess you should just enjoy this while it's here. you'll adapt to change eventually.
