Did you figure it out? It seems that you had to log into the artistic profile where you submitted the prescreen, not the michigan portal

Yes! That’s exactly what I was doing - the admissions portal instead of artistic. But then found out my son got into Northwestern ED tonight so time to cancel a bunch of auditions!!

Hi, just wondering if anyone has heard from Columbia College Chicago about callback auditions? So far, my son has passed prescreens for DePaul and Ithaca, still waiting to hear from CCC and Purchase. He also has auditions scheduled for MSU, NYU, & UCONN in Jan/Feb.

hi all! congratulations on all of your auditions/upcoming auditions, as it is such a taxing (but rewarding) experience! I am a freshman BFA Acting student at Missouri State, and just thought i’d hop on and answer potential questions about the program! I definitely checked college confidential all the time during my audition process, and thought i would be of some help to those of you going through the acting/mt process this year! If you have any questions about Missouri State or the process in general, feel free to message me!

Did anybody get an email from USC about scheduling an information session? Just wondering if it means anything.

Same here! Is it just a general info session or does it indicate moving up?

I got the same email. Not sure what it means!

I’m assuming everyone who applied got it, just based on the number of people I’ve seen post about it here and other places. But I don’t know for sure.

Hi, thanks for posting here! My son has an audition at MSU in a couple weeks (BFA Acting). I’ll check with him and have him post any questions here.

Yay!! So excited for him! I am so willing to help out with any questions that arise

Did your son have his audition yet? My son is auditioning in a few weeks and is trying to figure out what to do about an accompanying track. Seems crazy to get one done for just one audition!

Yes. He thinks it went well. If you can’t get a piano accompaniment recorded you can use a Youtube Karaoke Video. Obviously Youtube is free and as long as you choose a Karaoke Video you will get the music without the vocals. He can practice singing to that video and play that video for his audition.

Hi I have a question! I just found out I passed my Boston U prescreen, but I’m not so sure going to BU would be a good fit for me anymore. However, I’m wondering if anybody knows around how many people pass their prescreen? And what this could maybe indicate to me about my chances at American or Northwestern (sent in an optional MT supplement at NU.)? Basically I’m from a small town and while I’ve been super successful at my own community theatre, I have no clue what my talent is like comparable to everyone else in the nation, so if passing the Boston U prescreen means anything then it would be super helpful for my figuring out my chances.

pianotrax.com has accompaniment tracks for TONS of songs for around $5 each!!

Thank you!

I have experience of one child and what I have been told by others, but it does not seem that what one program says can be extended to others. It is FABULOUS that you made it through the BU prescreen (we are still waiting) but my son passed the Michigan prescreen and has been accepted to Emerson and New School but was rejected by Pace. My understanding is Northwestern is almost exclusively an academic admission and this year who knows what that means with so many more people applying and test optional issues. Good luck to you and thank you for the track advice! I am sure there are others who have much more experienced opinions than me
