<p>" The AIGA and NASAD do not recognize a four year liberal arts degree in art or design as adequate preparation for entry as a graphic design profession."</p>
<p>Thanks, Cama. On a quick read, I think this document classifies programs into basically two types -- full 4-year studio programs in which 65% of coursework is in studio courses, and liberal arts type programs in which about 40% is in studio courses. But there are some schools/programs that are kind of in-between, and also offer BFA.,and in which perhaps 50-60% would be studio courses. I'm thinking of CMU, BU, and Syracuse as examples with 4-year studio programs but probably not quite as intensive in studio courses as, say, Pratt or RISD.</p>
