BHP/Plan II Double major

I am a high school junior who will soon be applying to UT. Is it possible to double major BHP/Plan II (or even triple or quadruple with spanish linguistics and music composition). I know this sounds a little crazy, but I plan on taking 5 years to do it, I will be starting as a Sophomore (15 AP classes 2 Houston Community College Classes), and I understand that the Plan II major is very flexible in its classes in a way that would allow me to fulfill requirements in other majors.

I do not party, don't plan on drinking, pretty exited about learning (If you didn't catch that craziness already).

SAT: 2300
ACT: 35
PSAT:225
Eagle Scout

I don't know if any other information will help...

Double is very possible if you are doing it in 5 years. Triple could be too. I’d say quad is out of hand though. Even if you triple majored, I think you’d be sacrificing a lot of social life, etc. If that doesn’t matter, then you could go for it. Your stats show that you are intelligent enough.

Hook 'Em!

Could I move music composition to a minor? How much less work would that be?

Isn’t it expected for BHP majors to have a second major in the business school?

With a PII and BHP plan, it’s more than possible to graduate in 4 years especially with enough credit. With another business major (finance, accounting, etc.) it is ALSO very much possible and done to graduate in 4 years. For some reason, the Plan II program makes recommendations to the contrary that you can/should graduate in 5 years and I don’t really see much reason save for the fact you really like to take your own pace and spend more money.

With Spanish as third major, it still may be possible, but I think with music composition, 5 years would probably the reality.

Either way, keep your options open. It’s still early. With your grades, you very well may end up somewhere totally different!

You can definitely do both, and hkem, not all BHP students have a second major in the business school–it’s not required. There are a lot of BHP students who are pre-med or are pursuing something other than business, but they like BHP because of the practical business background it provides.

Most students who do bhp/plan II obviously triple major–apply and see what happens. The advisors can help you a lot too at recruiting events next fall! Be sure to contact the BHP to ask about your unique situation and they will help you out.
