Big dilemma! should i cancel?

i have a problem and i was hoping you guys could help me with what to do.
I have taken the sat i 2 times in the past, once in january (1850) and once in march (1960). I just took it my third time in october 2008 in hopes of getting a 2000+. ALL i want is just over 2000, so a 40 point increase is all i need...however, i am not CERTAIN that i got 2000 or above, though i do have some faith in myself.
However, the bottom line is that i cannot take the sat's 4 times. 3 times is already pushing it, i know, but i really want that 2000. should i cancel (BY TOMORROW) and retake it in nov or december? or should i just keep it and whatever i get, i get.
PLEASE HELP! tia

Why can you not take it 4 times???

Don't cancel it. Given it's only a 40 point gap from over half a year ago, I think you will be well above 2000 this time.

If it is still not good. Take it again in dec. Taking the SAT many times at least shows admission officers how persistent you are. Good luck~

Some schools average out your scores if you take it more than three times. In this situation, it is all up to you.

Did you check your answers in the threads?
How do you feel after checking your answers- try estimating your score.
Who knows, it may be harder or easier in the later tests; however, are you willing to take that risk?

We can't necessarily help you decide here, but personally- I say just keep the score.

Also, don't forget, you have a good chance of achieving 2000+ for your superscore :) which always works in our favor!

offtopic, but i don't feel it warrants another thread. sorry Op but hopefully a one word answer should suffice.

Do uc's average after the third?

dont cancel.

yeah I think uc's do average after 3rd.
