Big Fish Small Pond or Small Fish Big Pond?

Is it better to have an amazing GPA from a decent college or a decent GPA from an amazing college when it comes to getting into grad school? I currently have a 3.96 from a top 50 ranked University and I have the opportunity to transfer to NYU-Stern, I’m scared I won’t be able to maintain such a GPA or get even close at a school as academically challenging as Stern. I realistically need a 3.85+ to get into the MBA program I want.

dont transfer then

Stay where you are.

how do you know you want an MBA already? You should only get one if it is necessary for your career (you need to switch paths or your line of work requires an MBA, etc.)

the answer to your question also depends on what you want to do post-grad and how feasible it is to get into industry from your school vs Stern
