Latest news seems to be that Meghan has her eye on the White House. I do hope they make a mini series out of this at some point.

And so far, about a 13% chance of being shot if you’re president. It’s not a job that one who is concerned about their security should take.
I think there’s a difference between wanting privacy from racist tabloids willing to break laws to print lies and biased, salacious stories about you, fed by leaks from the staff of where you’re staying while being prevented by your in-laws from defending yourself - vs coverage from legitimate journalists and normal American entertainment reporting gathered from sources that you aren’t forced to associate with, and the freedom to freely voice your opinion and engage on your own terms.
I could be wrong; maybe the two situations are actually identical and I just don’t see how.

Not sure those standards apply when you’re running for political office. She’ll certainly need to don thicker skin than she has now.

Maybe the Palace has experience with journalist never being fair, that no matter how royal members try to explain it never works out, so just don’t allow interviews, statements, defending themselves. Did it really work out for Diana and Charles or would a ‘no comment’ have been better? Andrew, Fergie, even Harry with his Nazi costume?
There isn’t a way to say ‘only legit journalists’ as they all think they are legit.

To be fair, the story was also picked up by the NY Post and Fox News. It was not in the NY Times or Times of London or CNN. I will let others ponder the validity.

Some amount of photographs and publicity are inevitable in a public life as big as what Harry and Meghan have , unless they want to totally withdraw from public life( unlikely). Prince Philip was released from the hospital a few hours ago, age 99 and being photographed in a very frail state but still managing a weak wave. Sad but I guess he knows to expect it after all these years .

So, this story hasn’t been confirmed by any legitimate news organizations. I can’t believe anyone found this remotely plausible. Honestly, some people hate MM so much they’ll believe (and repeat) anything

And this the the exact reason I didn’t bother listing the “news sources”. People will believe what they want regardless of the source. I posted it because I find it entirely plausible that MM is entertaining this idea if for no other reason that it gets her more publicity.

I do hope people don’t think all news sources are created equal. I certainly don’t, which is why I asked. The publications that I saw run with it are not the most credible, IMO.
