Ok, I am finishing my Freshman year in HS right now, and colleges are starting to taunt/obsess me... So here is my story.

I am aiming for Majors in Computer Science, Engineering (a maybe) in Electronics or Aerodanamics, or something along those lines. Maybe Math instead of Engineering, I'm just too young to say. But Computer Science is definate yes.

Basically, it's too early for me to start weighing chances, but what I need is 1) If I'm on the right track and 2) What colleges I should aim for to persue those intrests (more on this later)

My Sophomore setup will go like this:
Honors Trig / Pre-Calc (this is a year ahead of what is the "standard" in this district)
AP European History
AP Computer Science
Adv. English 10
French 3
Chemistry
Independant P.E.

My Junior year will go like this:
AP Calculus
AP American History
Honors English 11
Honors Physics
Honors French 4
Speach and Debate

My Senior year is going like this:
AP Calculus BC
AP Economics
AP English Lit
AP French 5 (Maybe, I'm not a fan of lauguages)
AP Physics B
Then some electives like Philosophy, Law, History of WWII, something like that.

So my senior year will be hard. As will my junior and soph years.

EC:

By junior year, 12 years of piano (+lvl 10 Certificate of Merit (advanced panel))
By senior year, 5 years of Sci Fair (have already won several awards this year in Computer Science category)
Computer club (Plan to continue this next three years)
Math club (Plan to coninue this next three years)
Track (League champion in the 1600, second in the 800, in varsity next year (soph))
Cross Country (Should be team capitain by Junior Year, in varsity as freshman)
Buissnes Rotary Contest (plan to continue this next three years (this is a contest where we build a REAL website for a REAL contractor, and it's a tough competition against other teams)
Build computers, set up and maintain my own house network (on linux), have experience with many many many aspects of computer science (hardware, wireless, programming, security, Linux, etc.)
There is a Student Democratic Union forming next year in our school, and I am chosen as one of the leaders (this is going to be my soph year, just a reminder)

OK, so that's about what's happening right now.. I've taken prep SATI's in 8th grade, got 670 on math, 550 on english, so next year, I plan to get close to perfect marks on it (I would have learned a lot by then, respectively). Unfortunately, my GPA right now in freshman year is NOT at it's best, and I'm expecting a 3.7-3.8 range, but this is because I am having a curse of the hardest teachers... however I am truly COMMITED, and I know I will do much better next year, (many reasons, one being having 6 periods, having A period (7:30 am) messed with my brain)...

SO the real question... 1. Do I have a chance in getting into top schools like UCLA... and 2. What good Computer Science major schools are there in South Cali (I'm in SF bay area right now, and I really want to go to school in socal).

Thank you so much guys for reading all this... :)
