Big Problem i Found

Hello, So i got accepted to two of my colleges and I made the big mistake of not reviewing my applications too well. I worked as a volunteer for two summers and I accidentally wrote one wrong year for one school. I want to contact the university about this but I fell like if I do I will be branded as a liar… should i contact this school or should I just stay the course

I would not worry about it. It sounds like a typo.

There is a difference between lying, like saying you worked four summers when you worked two, and mistaking the year.

So stay the course, and know that if anyone asks, you can say “I mistook the year, I’m sorry” without anyone accusing you of trying to “put one over” on the college.

Yea,im checking over my apps right now and found this discrepancy. I did the same exact stupid mistake for another uni(that I wasn’t accepted to)… I feel like dying since I made the same mistake so many times. I did work for these summers, I feel like I should contact these colleges and tell them the right year, but I do not want to be accused of lying, it’ll hurt me because ill get rejected even after my four years of work in hs.

I have verification too (certificates), but it’s gonna say the wrong year for one of them… omg

Chill. It’s not an issue.

dont worry about a minor typo- it is not an OMG or even a med size issue.

This isn’t a problem at all. What matters is the number of years, not which years they were. Put it out of your mind and enjoy your senior year. Congrats on your acceptances.

Agree, let it go. A typo in which year you did the volunteer work won’t make one iota of a difference in your application. Enjoy your acceptances and your senior year. Don’t look at your application again – that part of the process is complete.
