MAJOR mistake in my submitted common application!!! Helpppppp

So I just found out that i type the wrong year of my entry date of my high school
it should 2008 but i accidently type 2009
and i already sent it to 10 college

Will it affect :(
what am i supposed to do now:(

HELPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP :(

Email the admission offices from each school and just explain the mistake. They’ll correct it on their side.

It probably doesn’t matter much. Your transcript will show that you entered in 2008. Might as well send the correction though!

will they see the mistake and immdietaly reject me:(

It’s a minor mistake, an easily made typo. Relax.

I wouldn’t do anything. It’s too minor. It will probably not be noticed and you will only bring attention to it if you email. No biggie. Relax.

OhioMom - I disagree. To avoid any confusion, the OP should let the schools know. it will not negatively hurt you in any way to do so.

I suppose it would not hurt to notify them. But, it is an obvious minor typo and the transcript has the correct entry date. I do not think it would even be noticed, but I could be wrong.

You are probably right about this; it will likely be missed. If they do see it, it might cause some confusion though.

It’ll probably be fine. I checked the wrong box for the essay question I was answering on my Common App, but I got accepted at both the schools I sent it to. I think they probably figured it out the second they actually saw my essay. It had absolutely nothing to do with “a person who has influenced you,” which was what I checked!

They’re getting your transcripts. They’ll figure it out.

Thankssssssss :)
