So Yale is my first choice, and I sent my Common App, Supplement, and Payments yesterday (and my forms about a month ago), but it says today** that it was successfully downloaded. Am I okay?!

"it was successfully downloaded"

Ummm.... what is the problem? If there's anything amiss, they'll contact you, no?

Well it was downloaded today and it was due yesterday.

I submitted last night. I guess I'm confused over what the difference between submit and download is....

Submission is when you officially click "submit" and a copy of your common app is loaded into the system for Yale to download. When Yale downloads your application from the common app's system into their own system, it then is marked as "downloaded." If it is "submitted" before the deadline, you're fine.

No, the biggest mistake ever was saying in my essay that "Yale's parody will never shrowd the glow of Crimson glory." :-X

But seriously, you submitted it before the deadline and so you're fine. In fact, the deadline's been extended anyway. (Downloaded = downloaded from the Common App's servers onto Yale's to be printed and read)

OMG you wrote that in a Yale essay, goldenratiophi?!?!

Ah well, thanks!

(And personally I don't trust that extension of the deadline thing anyways).

No. I'd never spell "shroud" so wrong! :p

But my app/supplement was downloaded today too. Don't worry.

Haha, thanks. I do feel better.

Yeah, I think they take a little while to show up... most of my apps look like that. I think the day it's submitted on is equivalent to a postmark date. If it's any consolation, my SCEA app was downloaded a day or two later, and as far as I know nothing went wrong with it (other than not being accepted lol).
