Bike tracks/trails near campus?

Hey guys, I'm into long distance biking, so I'm wondering if there is anyplace near campus where I can do that. I live in Houston and I don't like biking on the streets (too many stop lights) so I like to bike the bayou (which is like 20 miles long). Is there any Austin equivalent of this?

Thanks,
Michael

The Hike and Bike Trail on either side of Lady Bird Lake (formerly called Town Lake) is great. Google it and you’ll find it. It’s pretty long, but I don’t know its exact length. I went for a 7-mile run there a couple of years ago, which wasn’t nearly its entire length. You could always loop around and bike parts twice, too. It’s one of the nicest trails I’ve ever been on! It makes me wish I’d used it when I actually LIVED in Austin!
