Can you still not longboard or bike on campus? Or was that a rule from long ago? I don't see why they would ban longboarding/biking... It's freaking Austin. You're supposed to longboard =/

I see lots of people biking / skateboarding / longboarding on campus all the time.

Last I checked, anything flies on campus so long as it has brakes. Most cops don’t mind boards but if they’re having a bad day, they can write you up for a $15 citation that is off the record. Not a big deal.

Oh ok. Cool. I would DIE if I had to walk everywhere all the time. Are there a lot of cops frequently on campus? I know $15 isn’t a lot, but I still don’t wanna have to pay for a citation…

Apparently bikes are allowed, but longboards, skateboards, and roller skates are not. However, just as everyone else has said, I heard that most of the time, the cops don’t care. That being said, I bought a longboard last week in order to commute around campus next year.

I would say that I see more longboarders than cops. And over the past two years I’ve been here, I’ve only had one friend get a citation and it was for ripsticking… hah. I don’t think he ever paid it either
