Bikes at Baylor?

Hi.

Are bicycles common as they are on other flat campuses? Would a girl living in Collins, with a car, and taking lots of classes in the Sciences Building, want to have a bike at Baylor?

I googled this question and came up with a few hits about bikes being stolen on campus… most it seems either unlocked or using a normal cable lock.

If so, what is the most popular type of bike – Road Bike (thin bald tires, no shock), Trail Bike (knobby tires and a shock absorber), or Beach Cruiser?

Bikes are pretty common, but not necessary. The campus is small enough you can walk across it in fifteen minutes, and most people don’t bike off campus. But it would make going from Collins to the Science building quicker!

Bikes are stolen sometimes, but if you have a good lock, you should be mostly ok. (Tires, etc. could still be stolen though.)

Sorry, I never paid attention to which type of bike is the most popular.
