<p>It depends on where you live. If you live in Hereford, New Dorms (Alderman), I would definitely recommend it. I lived in Old Dorms on McCormick and I never felt the need for a bike. There’s two bus stops right in front of the quad (the McCormick road bus stop that takes you in the hereford/afc direction, and the Chem bus stop that will take you to central grounds. It’s really not necessary for old dormers. Wait until you get your housing assignment, and then based on where you live, buy one. A lot of classes are in gilmer/chem building which is a 2-3 minute walk for old dorms, so the bike is more of a hindrance.</p>
