I am most likely going to enroll at IU and I was wondering if any current students might be able to tell me what kind of bikes most students ride?</p>
<p>I kind of would like one, so as to get around and familiarize myself with the campus faster.</p>

<p>A bike is a great decision. I know a lot of people who regret not bringing theirs. I have a pretty average mountain bike (trek 820) and it works great. It’s mostly mountain bikes, some road bikes. Bring a can of anti rust spray for your chain (after 2 months it will begin to rust) and a couple extra pairs of break pads (I am on my third pair of break pads).</p>

<p>Bikes are chained to bike racks. Some are covered, most aren’t. Some people, if they have the room, keep their bikes in their room. There are a couple bike shops around b-town, and there’s a bike auction about 2 or 3 weeks into the year. I haven’t been to either, so I can’t really help…but my friend bought her bike from a bike shop and loves it.</p>
