He's in!! I know who I'm voting for in the primaries.

Brynna for president!

Is Richardson the fat guy from New Mexico? He seems alright.

I really like his policies. You can find them on his official website in case anyone's interested: http://richardsonforpresident.com.

I'm glad to see another minority considering a runn for presidency of the U.S..

Richardson would be a good vp. There's too many presidential threads. We should merge them. Mod, where art thou?

I don't know anything about him but in that link, he looks nice and kind.

Not to make this election about race but I think its cool the dems have such a diverse group of candidates.
Richardson- Hispanic
Obama- Black
Clinton-Woman

There's something to say about fielding a diverse group of candidates. Guranteed loss. !
Look, there's been Catholics in this country since before the Revolutionary War. When the Democrats fielded Al Smith in 1928, the South , traditionally known as the Solid South in favor of the Democratic party, started to abandon the Dems. Even in the 1960 election of JFK, Catholicism was still an issue to some voters. Keep in mind these were White Catholics and we could argue it wasn't until 2004 with John Kerry that Catholicism wasn't an issue. However, race, which is more obvious (you can see it), is even more devastating. I think there's too much hostility in some parts of the country for an ethnic minority or a woman to be a feasible candidate. If you look to my post on the other thread about Newsweek, you'll see why.
