Been binging US version of Shameless. I am hooked. Starting season 4 soon.
Opener for Season 7 was on Showtime last week. Episode 2 is tonight. Canāt wait!
@Bromfield2, what show are you referring too? Is it Shameless??? I donāt know how many seasons this show has.
@VANURSEPRAC YesāShameless is going on its seventh season. You have lots to see! Episode 2 of Season 7 is tonight.
The Imitation Game Itās based on a true story but very dramatic. I highly recommend it. I watched it twice in one sitting.
I really liked The Imitation Game, too, @Iglooo.
Black Mass, another recent Cumberbatch movie, is also very good.
I was at the theater this week and they showed a preview for Dr. Strange with Cumberbatch which comes out next month. Looks like it could be good.
Where did you watch Black Mass? I was looking for it. thanks
I saw it on a plane awhile ago but redbox has it. You can get in streaming on Amazon I believe if you want to pay more. Itās likely to be out there for free somewhere.
Iāve missed quite a bit on this thread so I hope Iām not repeating something thatās been discussed. I just watched the first season of Easy (Netflix) and one particular episode made me realize that I donāt know where sex on TV ends and porn starts. Iāve certainly noticed it before with other shows but, wow, just wow.
I donāt watch shows that are particularly violent that, I know, contain graphic sex scenes so maybe Iām just late to the game hereā¦things sure have changed!
I watched Easy, too. I wanted to like it more than I did. The episode you are talking about was obviously a parody of porn (and I think I remember the women always seemed to keep their bras on ā the series has a bunch of sex scenes, and everyone seems to be wearing some clothes throughout them). A married couple and a friend of theirs attempt a menage a trois, but keep getting interrupted by the coupleās crying baby (heard on their ubiquitous baby monitor). And, in the end, the couple really only wants to be with each other. It was sweet, sort of.
Easy is a very odd show. It was created by someone named Joe Swanberg whose initial career was centered on āmumblecoreā: ultra low-budget, low-drama slice-of-life movies about ambivalent young urbanites. Easy is sort of like that in a semi-sitcom format. No obvious jokes, but very dry humor. Much of which, but not all, is about, or related to, sex, and is centered on funny/uncomfortable situations. Different characters (almost) every episode, although characters from one episode often have cameos in another, and they all seem to live in Wicker Park. Lots of pretty well-known actors ā the menage above consists of Orlando Bloom, Malin Ackerman, and Kate Micucci (the babysitter on Raising Hope). (Theyāre pretty, well-known actors, too.)
I highly, highly recommend watching the documentary 13th. I knew a bit about incarceration rates and the current prison system/problem in this country plus ongoing racial discrimination, but this documentary is extremely eye-opening and informative. I think it should be a must watch:

If you like period British dramas I just found Lilies on Netflix. Set after World War 1 in Liverpool. On episode 4 and enjoying.
Where do you find the documentary?
Thx for the recommendation @Sally22.
I just started watching Divorce on HBO. Only 2 episodes available. I like it.
Stranger Things. Creepy. Esp EP 3.
I finished watching that Debate series. Parts of that were creepy and scary, too.
Iāve been watching āGoliathā with Billy Bob Thornton, Maria Bella, and William Hurt on Amazon Prime. Itās a lawyer show produced by David E. Kelley (L.A. Law, Boston Legal) so if you like lawyer stories, youāll enjoy it. Itās visually stunning with lots of shots of Venice CA. Itās got great reviews.
Iām not planning to binge-watch that show again!
Thanks to all who recommended The Americans. Iām most of the way through season 2 and enjoying it.
@OspreyCV22 I just watched the first episode. Not totally hooked but definitely interested.
