For those accepted to Binghamton or who have/are students there - do you know when/how students hear about merit aid? There was nothing in her online acceptance letter. Does merit aid award information come in the mail with the acceptance letter or does it come later, separately? Thanks for any insight.

@Pelorider there was not financial info, from looking at the website, it made it sound like any merit aid would be part of the financial package, that would come later.

Daughter got in tonight.

What’s the estimated date/time of in-state decisions? before or after thanksgiving
? wanted to clarify, as I’m hearing mixed things both within and outside of this thread

I have Kid #1 who is a Harpur freshman and Kid#2 who is awaiting his EA decision. Instate. Kid #1 got in EA last year notified around Jan 10, although many classmates heard around 12/10 up through holiday break. Had 1400 SAT, A student, many APs. Email to check portal came out around 7pm , but no rhyme or reason to days, although I think there seemed to be a trend dependent on which school admitted to.

@Pelorider My daughter’s merit award info came with her official acceptance letter in the mail. This arrived about a week after the online portal announcement.

Congratulations! Bing is really a terrific school. My freshman daughter honestly couldn’t be happier!

did anyone else in-state receive a parent email saying that your child’s application was received and more messages will be released in the coming weeks? don’t know if everyone got this, or if it means I’m in the first wave of in-state decisions

No - was curious how they have our emails? Are they on the common app? Can’t remember

Yes-in-state and received the email this morning!

@Pbjmom2000 do you think everyone got this email? or it means something

@historypenguin, My son, is a Sophomore in SOM (we are in-state) and received his decision on 11/30/17 at 7:15 pm.

Nope didn’t get any email - in state. So must mean something:)

@lovesummer123 I’m not sure what it means. Hoping it means the decisions will be coming soon. My husband and I both got the email.
