Press Fall 2014
Then Scroll down until you see Admissions Type
It should read which pool you’re in.
(ex: FR Early Action no prev coll c) - that’s what mine reads as.

Mine says Admission Type: FR no prev coll cred, which I’m guessing means I’m still in rd.
Well that sucks, oh well I guess I can wait (not like I have any choice -_-).

My son’s says FR Early Action prev coll c

@Aw
No worries, your acceptance is mere formality; me on the other hand, if I get deferred (which is likely due to my weak SAT scores) I probably will take the ACT and submit those scores in (assuming my scores will improve). I really don’t want to wait any longer - this is my top choice.

I don’t know if they prefer SAT scores haha.
I have a 2070 SAT, Decent GPA which would be pretty good if it wasn’t for my bad freshmen year (Upward trend) and good ECs but I can’t pay my deposit :(

Don’t rely on this artificial way. I am ineligible (as of now; hoping for the future) yet I still have my spirits high. After doing some research, not on just bing but on the admissions process in totality. It seems that the SAT is taken into account first, and very seriously. Those with high SAT/ACT scores and the qualified GPAs will get in quicker. For those, like me, whose SAT/ACT were sub-par; the other factors will weigh a bit more heavily (gpa, ec, essay…) But to my knowledge, and I can be completely wrong about it, but you have to be optimistic; and just understand the philosophy that things happen for a reason. Who knows, maybe tomorrow you’ll be eligible. Just trust in the admissions officers, that they know what they are doing and that they will admit you due to your application in totality and how it may illuminate the bing campus. Best of luck; approximately 2 more days!

@Awsome @jbryant
Here are my stats: 98 GPA (Top 1%), 30 ACT, 8 APs.
I just checked my Commonapp account, and it obviously says that I applied RD on November 25th. I received Application Complete email on Dec 13. I don’t know when it actually changed but my Admission Type is “FR Early Action no prev coll c.” I also could log on and pay deposit.

did anyone call or have any update?

Just spoke with someone in UG Admissions. His initial response that “it has no indication on EA acceptance and they are working to fix it”. Spoke with someone else who is now aware of this thread and is going to post something official soon after speaking with the director.

They just posted on the facebook page that letters were sent out today. So most of you should get them between tomorrow and friday depending on how far you are from the school.

Also I applied last year and can confirm that basically everyone who was able to pay a deposit from that link got in EA. I think it said something like “Start term: Fall 2013 Watson lower division” or something like that.

Hey guys, just wanted to let you know that I got the letter from Binghamton in the mail today, and I was accepted. And for those who want to know, I was “unofficially” accepted, and eligible to pay the deposit fee yesterday.

what town/city do you live in, TeenageDreamer? Also is it a big envelope or a small one?

@RDadPop it was a big green envelope, and I live in Queens, NY

Thanks TeenageDreamer! Congrats! and What college did you get accepted into?

Congrats TeenageDreamer!!!

@TeenageDreamer

Did the acceptance letter contain information about logging into quickpay to do a deposit?

It’s to Harpur College, and yes, the letter did include information about logging in to make a deposit.

@TeenageDreamer

Did your application status online also change to say accepted?

Just got my acceptance letter/packet in the mail!! So excited :)

My son got his package today as well. Accepted into Engineering. Boston area.
