If your child had a choice between Binghamton University and University of Delaware, which would you encourage and why?

is money going to be an issue? Is the student in-state at either school?

OOS to both

questbest…is there an instate public speech pathology option IN your state? If so, I would suggest you look at it. As you may know…speech pathology REQUIRES a masters degree. I know students who do their undergrad instate (and save some money) and then go to an out of state school for the two year masters program. Just a thought.

I think Delaware has a better location, so that is what I’d choose but I have the impression that Binghamton has a particularly high (so somewhat higher than Delaware?) proportion of smart, engaged students. They are both great schools; I can’t think of a strong overall overriding reason to pick one over the other.

Are you looking at one specific department? Does one of the two schools have more faculty or more depth and breadth of coursework offered in that department? If so, I’d give that school an edge.
