Bio degree --> accounting career?

Hi, I am graduating next year with my BS in biology. I original plan was to go to med school but my mind has changed about it. I have an okay gpa ~3.5 but I want to go into the business field instead of the health field now. I preferably want to become an accountant but don't know where go to from here. My school doesn't offer an accounting program =/ so yea. I was thinking about getting a certificate at a CC while I am finishing my bio degree.

But is a certificate good enough to land an accounting job? And is possible to still land an accounting job by just taking accounting classes, and having no degree, certificate, etc.?

Or is my only chance of have an accounting career is by getting my masters in it or CPA license?

You will definitely want a CPA. I know my college offers (and I assume plenty of others offer) a masters program in accounting that makes you eligible for the exam after 2 years. You could go without, but your job offers would be much better and more plentiful if you do it.
