Bio major/ math minor?

So my dream and goal is to be a veterinarian in the future, but I’d like to have a back up plan to this. I’m currently a freshman attending UCSC planning my classes. Regardless of what happens, I’d be glad to work around animals. My proposed major is marine biology, but I may be considering just general biology. For a secondary plan, I think it would be cool to teach simple math such as algebra/geometry for middle schoolers. Should I be getting a minor in math or educations for this? I get that bio and math are completely different routes for a degree, so I’m honestly unsure of what to do. I’m so indecisive of what I really do want, so I’m coming up with options. Thanks!!
