I plan on being a bio major in college (not interested in pre-med, though). I'm going to be a freshman at a school that has an open curriculum, so I can basically take any classes I want as long as I fulfill my major requirements.

I've been taking Spanish since the 1st grade, and I'd like to continue in college. But, I'd also like to learn French (from scratch)! Not only do I love the language, I also think it'd be useful because there's a cool bio internship at the Institut Pasteur that I'd love to do.
Aaand, I want to take a few Russian courses because it's my first language and I would like to be able to read/write better and speak with more confidence (I forgot a lot when I learned English).

So my question is...how do I go about doing this? Should I even bother? I want to go to grad school and get a PhD...will admissions think me pursuing so many languages is silly and then not take me seriously?

Thanks a lot!

PS - not sure if this is relevant, but my two big bio interests at the moment are 1) developmental bio and 2) food science/GMOs. hehe they're very different, so I don't know which way I'm gonna end up going.
