Bio(medical)engineering @ JHU & UCSD

I am having to choose between these two schools right now. I was wondering if someone would list pros/cons to each of the schools: Johns Hopkins and University of California: San Diego. I got into Bioengineering at UCSD, and Biomolecular engineering at JHU. Should I be leaning more to one? Is it more beneficial for me to go to one over the other?

San Diego is a much nicer location (maybe the best weather in the US) with a highly ranked program. JHU is great too but I don't know anything about the campus.

I know the location and weather is amazing at San Diego... I'm just concerned about the engineering programs.

Johns Hopkins BME program was ranked #1, whereas UCSD's program was ranked #3, after Duke University - according to US News 2005 Graduate Program Rankings.

Then again, there shouldn't be that much of a difference between #1 and #3. plus, SD has much better weather and surrounding environment. JHU is in the middle of a ghetto...
Besides, you'll be able to get a higher class rank/GPA if you go to UCSD, thus providing a better chance at a good med school.

my personal advice.

Nighthawkrao77, i guess you didnt apply BME program at JHU right?
also r u planning on going to a med school?

(i dont think there's much difference between #1 and #3 anyhow. and i do think SD has wonderful weather too.)
yet i'd still be leaning toward JHU tough.

duh,

I agree with you. I would be getting a private education and be able to go to the best Bioengineering school in the nation. I am leaning towards JHU.
