Okay, I need help... I have gotten into Johns Hopkins University, but not into BME, therefore they put me into Biomolecular Engineering Major (It's a chemical engineering degree with Bio emphasis). I also recieved word from University of California: San Diego that I was admitted to the Engineering School under the major of Biomedical Engineering: Pre-Med. Johns was initially my first choice. However, I will be hearing back soon from University of Pennsylvania and Stanford. Assuming I get into all four (which I won't), I need help choosing which will help me in the long run.

All four of them, depending on who you ask, are top engineering schools. However, I am not in the BME program at Johns, which ranks #1 in the nation. I wonder thought if it will matter, because in Graduate School I could always take the BME major. In addition, there are only a handful of classes that are different in BME than the Biomolecular engineering major.

UCSD is supposedly the growing Bio-tech industry. They too, are advanced for Bioengineering. UPenn also has a very prestigious bioengineering department. Stanford however, I have not heard much about this major, but if I went to Stanford, my job options are incredibly wide-ranging anyway.

To get to the point, I want some unbiased feedback on which of the four options would help me in the future. I am planning to go to graduate school and I want to do research. Also, when I leave the university, I want to have many well-paying, job options.

Any feedback will be greatly appreciated. Once again: UCSD, Johns Hopkins, Stanford, and UPenn.

Thanks
