So i was planning on taking chem but I need a 750 plus and so far on my practice tests i can't even break 700...

Not including the upcoming year, my only bio experience was freshman year (im a rising sr), but since it was mostly memorizing, if I put in the time does anyone think I will be able to pull a 750 plus on either bio test? And also, which of the two is generally said to be easier?

bio is ridiculously easy if you have completed bio AP but chem is easier since you can get an 800 just with chem honors.. just get review books for both from REA and then take some tests.. you should be fine

stephenn is definitely correct. I was getting dissapointed with my scores on the sparknotes practice tests (670 on both bio and chem). However, on the real test i got an 800 on biology and a 780 on chemistry. It helps a lot to have the class before the test though. I was taking AP bio and AP chem and they really helped a lot.

bio doesnt test knowledge deeply. there are lots of annoying trick questions...some questions arent exactly relevant to bio, either. but i agree w/swoop, ap bio helps. it makes you confident - but most of all just be really careful, the curve is not very lenient.

Depending on the quality of chemistry instruction at your school, you will most likely have to take Chemistry Honors/AP Chemistry to do 700+ on it, just as a warning :D

And really, relax. I took the SAT II Sparknotes test for Biology, and I ended up receiving a (590) on it - just found out I got a (780) on Bio E, and Bio E is the one with the intensely harsher curve. I used Princeton Review to review everything absolutely necessary, and the practice tests are very close to it.

As Jenife said, do watch out for confusedly worded questions (I hate that hotspot question) and for out-of-nowhere questions. If I remember, there was this one question about which lowered your heart rate, and three of the choices were between caffeine, meth, and alcohol..check the May and June 2008 topics for question discussion, so you can get a feel for it.
