Biochemistry and Neurobiology

I'm going to be a freshman at the UW this fall (SO stoked!) and I'm planning on majoring in biochemistry or neurobiology. I know that both of these majors are competitive and require applications, and I was wondering if anyone could tell me about the process?
When do I apply for them and what does it take to actually be admitted into the majors?
Thanks!

I’m interested as well

Well I know someone who is double majoring in both…

You probably have to take a few classes so they can look at your GPA compared to other applicants, then submit an application with an essay or something. You’ll probably find out at orientation?

SEE YOU THIS FALL!
