First of all sorry if I am repeating the question.
D is sophomore majoring in bioengineering at Rice. As for pre med reqs, she opted out of gen chem with AP credits and is now taking organic chem . She has to take bio reactions and biomaterials for her major which are said to be higher level biochem courses and are listed under BioE not Bios department. My question is 1. How do med schools view this and she still needs to take gen chem. 2. Do other bioE classes count for science gpa. Is it true if the course is listed under Engineering dept then they don't count .

What are the course titles? Sounds silly, but this is important.
