Cornell seems to have a very promising BME program. But at least according to usnews, it is not as highly ranked as JHU or Stanford. So I'm just curious as to what the general reputation of Cornell BME is from the perspective of academia and biomedical industries, and is it wise to choose it over the other two schools.

Does anyone have any advice? Deadline's coming up!

All things being equal (funding, no ties to family/friends, don't care about city location), I would think Hopkins would be the no brainer.

PhD? Go with the place with the research that best suits your interests. Hopkins' program is a bit longer (I believe) and Stanford is a fantastic program but isn't ranked high enough to make it a no-brainer.

Masters? Stanford or JHU

In terms of BME, Hopkins it the most obvious choice given that they program in BME is regarded by many as the best of the best in the nation.

what if your interest is not in tissue or biomaterials? is Hopkins still the best for that? also, what about Caltech, Penn, Case Western, and Boston University? How do those sound in comparison?

anybody else interested in these schools?
