Bioengineer in ERC

Will it be a problem that I am an engineering major in ERC rather than in warren?

Will it more difficult to find study groups living in ERC for the courses I need to take for my major?

I have also heard that ERC is kind of secluded and very separated from the other colleges in UCSD, is that true?

Also, do you stay in the same residential college all four years of your time there?

You may have more GEs, but it’s not going to be a huge dealbreaker. There are going to be plentyyy of people in ERC from all different majors. It won’t be hard to find people to study with, and there’s plenty of opportunity to study with people from different colleges too!

ERC is a bit of a ways away from the center of campus. I’ve never lived there so I can’t say how secluded it feels, but really when it comes to meeting people it depends on how much effort you want to put, and not that much on where you live. I lived in Marshall with a constant traffic of people from ERC, Muir and Revelle and the dorms were fairly close knit, but if you don’t put yourself out there you’re not going to meet anyone.

A lot of people choose to go off campus. You can live in Marshall as an ERC student (student overflow), in Sixth(Warren?) for All Campus Housing. But you will always be an ERC student :)
