Biology 1A Final - This Is It!

I thought the only real difficult part of Fischer’s part was the last part with all the biotech because I read the chapter and that didnt even help and his lectures during that part seemed kinda rushed because it was in the end (and the week was cut short)

I agree. Forte’s part was definitely easier than the midterm. Fischer’s part was definitely harder than the practice midterms, but I felt like the entire exam was pretty doable. Malkin’s section was pretty easy, I thought.

I thought Malkin had a couple tricky ones here and there.

i thought they were all tricky…

bearfacts says i got an A- in lab…

LOL how is that possible? what the hell. i remember celebrating last semester when i got an A in chem3al instead of an A-, but it turns out they submitted grades incorrectly or something. this better not be the same thing…

Yeah, I also have the same fear about the lab grade. I was expecting a B- but I have an A. I don’t want to be celebrating early either…

hm that’s a pretty big difference. i was expecting a B+ at best and i thought it was really likely i would get a B.

how well did you do on the midterms and quizzes?

Yeah, it was a big difference which is why I was really surprised.
I got an A on the first exam, average on the 2nd exam, and average on all the quizzes. I assumed my averages were raised to a B-.

that sort of jives with my A- then. i got a B on my 1st midterm, below avg on my quizzes (average was probably a B in my case), and then an A (i assume, +10 over avg score) on the 2nd midterm.

getting an A on the first exam was pretty huge for you i think, that accounted for 100/234 points after all. i think your grade is correct. :)

Haha. Well, I hope you’re right about that. Thanks! :]

… omg i passed…
got average on first midterm… a lil above on 2nd midterm.
1SD average below the mean on quizzes…
■■■. i shoulda worked harder on quizzes…never read them until before the midterm.

A on first lab exam.
only 10 points above avg on 2nd

almost 100% in quizzes

A in class. Whooo. So good to be done. Esp. with an A and not an A-. >___<

damn you geniuses

seriously. I got a B and I’m super happy with it haha.

A-
A on first exam. Above average on quizzes. And almost 1 sd above 2nd.
A bit bitter, but I’ll take it. Now to worry for the class itself.

dude batman i think you got screwed lol. did your section have a low rank for the first midterm? i think i got extremely lucky that i was in a smart section lol…

i think we were in the middle after the first one. My section was kinda dumb/no one bothered to study for helen’s quizzes and stuff. lmao. I’m really not sure which one it is, although I’m leaning more towards the latter because Helen always criticized our section about how we don’t go to OH or don’t ask/answer her questions.
I mean hell, I didn’t even study for the first midterm until like 2 or 3 days before, but I luckily got an A. And I think we had one of the lowest averages for the practical at ~37. lulzies.
So yeah, I do feel a little disappointed because I did put in a lot of time/effort into lab, but whatever. Can’t argue with that.

Got an A :)

A on first midterm, around 1.5 SD above mean for quizzes, 25 points above average for lab exam 2.

I guess I was lucky to be in Helen’s other section. There were some smart*** people in my section so we were ranked first for the first exam.

I feel like you got shafted, batman. :[

I hate bio lecture…damn you forte!
