Biology and economics?

I am currently a sophomore at the University of Houston. I am currently pursuing pre-med. However, i want to diversify myself by studying something other than the natural sciences. Also, i am an undeclared major, but i really enjoy economics. All in all, i was wondering, is double majoring in biology an economics a good choice? The reason i am choosing biology is because i would only need to take 16 extra hours of advanced biology classes after completing my pre-med classes to major in it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can major in anything you wish as long as you complete Med. school admission reguirements. Some major in Latin, Music (at very selective conservatory of music), engineering. Another route is to major in Biology related field and have one of few minors. Make sure your GPA stays high (including your minors and all majors).

Do it if you want, it’ll help you stand out as an applicant when you get to medical school. Like MiamiDAP said though, keep your GPA high as you do it.
