this major is offered in three different colleges...
are their differences in the major between the colleges? i know human eco. and agriculture and life sciences are both public and A&S is private..would this difference hurt my chance of admissions because i live out of state?

same major=same courses.

Whatever you do, do not pick one of the colleges by acceptance rate unless two of them match your interests equally. applying to the college that best matches your interests is the way to go.

CAS is for students who want a broader education, are intersted in exploring other areas while they work toward their major, and are jooking for an eyeopening well rounded experience. In other words, a traditional liberal arts education.

CHE and CALS are more specific to those areas. (sorry, i'm not as knowledgable on them.) but i hope you get the picture.

I'm not the only person who will make the acceptance rate criticism. ;) just so you know i'm not crazy. once other people respond they will all say the same thing! :)

CHE is higher SAT scores btw then CALS, IRL, and Hotel.
