Biology, Chemistry, or Physics?

Which one should I take first semester at Yale? I have almost no exposure to any of the above although I took them in high school (I go to an under performing HS so I don't think my classes really prepared me). I'm taking Math 112 (introductory calculus) although I took Calc BC in high school. Which one should I take? I don't really know what I want to major in yet but I want to be exposed to as much as I can. Please help me choose!

If you want to take Chem then you had to have preregistered for a Chem class ... so you might want to do that if Chem is your route. Most freshmen take Chem.

I'm a Yalie '11 too. Calhoun!!

Talk to your adviser or college dean. The classes are populated by every pre-med in the college. Don't just take the class b/c you've had 4+ years of science in HS. Be real open minded about your choices -- use "shopping period" to the full and don't commit too early to your schedule. See what the banter is at the dining halls about the "must have" class this semester. Good luck to you

Chemistry is usually the best place to start.

Ok thanks. I will probably take Chem, but what if I haven't preregistered yet? Hopefully it isn't too late.

If you did not preregister you must attend the chemistry information session on September 3rd at 12:30. I don't have the name of the building off hand but it's in your Calendar of Events.
