Biology Credits and CALS

So i'm slightly confused. In CALS as a bio major you can have up to 61 endowed college credits. But that really doesn't make sense to me. The bio requirements alone are like 66 credits, and the courses seem to be all listed in CAS (Bio, Physics, Chem, etc), even if you take like AEM stats or something. Not to mention the fact that you have to get your 2 FWS and whatnot.

So how exactly does that work? Are all bio courses considered to be in both CALS and CAS? I'm certain I'm missing something, because otherwise it wouldn't be possible to get a bio major in CALS.

Biology courses will not count against your 61 endowed credits. Chemistry and physics will count toward your endowed credit limit.

Got it. That makes sense now.

I also know it says you need 55 CALS credits. Does bio count towards that?
