Barron's makes it look like E is all questions about experiments, while M covers actual detailed knowledge material. Is this the way the real test is? I think reading the graphs is a lot easier even though I know more about molecular than ecology . . . which one should I take?

last minute bump

i took m....its easier, because it has to do with chemical experiments, while E is evolutionary/behavior stuff....more memorization based

if u took enviromental science go with e...if not then go with m

If you know more about M than E, then take M. Both of the "specialty" sections are mostly analyzing graphs and stuff. However, you'll encounter both in the actual sections, so it's not that big of a deal.

If you have time, just flip through the questions and see which set looks easier to you and answer those.

im taking E...for me, it's easier

I remember way back in freshman year, I wasn't prepared for either half...I had never heard of prep books, and we went through like 1/4 of the textbook over the span of the year...yeah...anyhow, I chose E and somehow got a 770 :D (I actually glanced at M first and decided, no way...)

I got a 700 (with a freshman bio class I was not super in) and I took the M. Keep in mind the same score earns a higher percentile for E so I high score in E is theoretically more distinguished, but a high score in M is easier to get. In general though take what you are more comfortable with.

Wait..so you are allowed to look at the E and M questions before you have to decide which to take? I have trouble believing they'd let you but that's so awesome...please reply quickly, I'm taking it tomorrow and will check back in the morning before I go ; )

not sure...but considering that 2 seconds was all it took me to realize that M was not for me...

when you guys took the test, did your scores end up being better than expected? Im in a complex situation now.... I can't tell if I did well or not. Probably (hopefully) above 700 for sure. ive taken a lot of practice tests and have maintained an everage of about 730 (on barrons and sparknotes).... can i have some insight on this?!

tanonev, you seem to a different case because you're intelligent in the first place. i saw your test scores in another thread, they were awesome :D i can see why you can pull off a 770 without studying.

damn..... I know plenty of people like that... makes me very upset :(
