Biology Help!

I am in 9th grade taking regular biology. It's really stressing me out though because I have a horrible teacher. We do lectures really often where she makes us copy down her own notes while she speeds through the topic really fast. I'm not that good at listening to her while writing notes down on my paper. And when it comes time to review my notes, I don't understand any of them! This has affected me a lot because I got a bad score on the last test because I found it so hard to study! I don't think she'll let me take my own notes that I can understand or record her lectures to review later because all the other times I have tried to talk to her, she has been very unreasonable.

Sorry to say, but this will be how it is all throughout high school. Think of it to yourself as a challenge that you must overcome. Try asking for help from your parents, friends, and look at some videos online that help explain these in a lot better perspective! If all fails, maybe try Pre-AP for you might be ready for it and get a different teacher. Good luck.

Yea this comes throughout high school. You have to learn to either take great bitea in class OR start reading the textbook. I find if teachers lectures dont work, the book(and sometimes using google to clarify terms) never fails

I would say ask your teacher for help. Some teachers have study sessions for specific classes after school so that your whole class can meet and it really helps.
For me, in class I mostly listen and write down a few major points/words. Then I go home and re-write them with details I either remembered or from the book .
I highly recommend watching CrashCourse videos on biology because they really help!
If your teacher is being extremely unreasonable, try talking to your guidance counselor because they are there to help you out.
If you ever need help, I might be able to help because I’m currently in AP Bio! Good luck!

Read your book. That will be important throughout high school.
