<p>I've done research on the subject and I'm concerned about the difficulty being admitted into Biology through "Exceptional Student" program*.</p>
<p>Currently I have a 3.75 average GPA and it's probably going to stay around there or get higher. So my question is how competitive is this "Exceptional Student" program for people seeking to switch into Biology.</p>
<p>More info on the program:
-One must apply before completing 2 academic years at UCSD
-Complete all lower-division requirements
-Switching into the major depends on your GPA rank
-Apply during a specific window</p>
<p>As far as I know, during a seminar, the department told us 30 seats were unfilled, but not yet available. How often do people switch out of Biology?</p>
<p>*Note this is the first year they have declared Biology</p>
