My passion for science is real and I plan on pursuing that passion by continuing in my studies as a transfer student to a university as a Biology major. I want to apply my science education and scientific background in a career doing research at a museum such as the Smithsonian. Other places I would like to try and find work in include places such as the zoo or other local public museums. My question is my university offers a minor in Museum Studies. The description for the minor says "individuals from all fields, including art, anthropology, art history, biology, history, business, education, geology, communication, and public administration are encouraged to participate. The program will help prepare students for entry-level positions in museum administration, education, collection management, registration, exhibition development, curation, and public programs." So my main question is would a major in Biology and a minor in Museum Studies make sense and would this be a great minor to go along with my science major? Thanks
