Biology Major- HELP!

Hello I am hoping any of you can shed some light on this for me.
I'm an incoming sophomore [transfer] and would like to declare a Biology major.
I am eligibly for Calculus this fall and was told by my advisor at Orientation to sign up for CHEM131/132. I go to sign up and it won't let me. They thought maybe because my transcript wasn't showing up in the system. Today, all the credits came through and I tried again and no luck. The Registrar then told me that I couldn't take BSCI106 or CHEM131/132 without completing Calculus (MATH130). HOWEVER, in the 4-year plan it suggests for one (in freshmen year) to take MATH130, BSCI106, CHEM131/CHEM132 all in the same semester.

IS THIS TRUE? OR have any of you been able to sign up for all three concurrently?

HELP!

It could be something along the lines of “Can be taken concurrently with permission from the department” but as I’m not a College Park student yet, hopefully someone else can be of some help.

Or perhaps the advisor that informed you to sign up for those classes can help you out.

Its just strange because that’s the order in which they suggest in their 4-year plans but the Registrar is like “No, you can’t take those courses until you take a Calculus.” How can that be when the 4 year plan says to take all three courses in the same semester and some students I have noticed have been able to sign up for all three! Its like the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing!
