Biology transfer to UCLA, Berkeley, or San Diego for science education?

Hey y’all. This is my first post on here so I’m not even sure if anyone’s gonna see this, but I’ll take a chance.

I’m going into my second year at CC in NorCal, and I’m a prospective bio major. I know a lot of bio majors on here tend to go for pre-med and it’s undoubtedly a possibility in the back of my head but for the most part, I’m interested in teaching biology. I know all three are amazing schools, all competitive, intellectually stimulating, and unique in their own great ways. I’m just wondering which one would be best for a potential bio major focused on science education? I think all three have programs for undergrads to earn their science teaching degrees. I think. I know I should probably do more research but I’ve got a lot of time and I’m just curious.

I’d love to go into a more specialized major such as human bio or physiology or molecular environmental bio or ecology behavior and evolution. Despite this, would going into a general bio major (like integrative bio at Berkeley) be more beneficial since I wanna become a teacher? Aside from simply biology, anatomy is also super intriguing to me. Anyway, I’ve digressed. Which school do you guys think is best geared towards helping me become a kick-ass science teacher? Thanks!!!

Teaching at the college level (needs PhD) or high school level (needs BA/BS + teaching credential)?

Colleges with general biology majors commonly do have enough in-major electives for students to focus on particular areas, without being constrained by having to declare a specialized biology major.
